I only write fantasy-stories. I used to write science fiction, but I have switched to fantasy a few years ago.

You'll have to post some of your stuff sometime, Stefanie. I'm sure everyone would like to have a look.

She looked through the window at the white landscape. It had snowed and the beautiful sight distracted her from the cold in the castle. Her friend Stacy was sitting near the hearth.
"Come over here. It's too cold over there." she said.
"I want to see them when they arrive."
Stacy knew who her friend was talking about. Three days ago, the knights had left the castle to protect the villagers from the dragon. Only 10 villagers had been able to escape and they had discribed the dragon as a horrible creature. Luckily, the village was far from the castle.
Of course, the villagers were allowed to stay in the castle until the dragon was defeated. They all had serious wounds, which proved that something terrible had happened to them. She had never seen a dragon before, but she believed the story of the villagers and had told the doctor to take good care of them.
"Of course I will." he had answered. "I will do everything I can do to heal those wounds."
Two villagers were unable to tell about the dragon. Their wounds were too serious and she wondered if they would ever get better.
She also feared for the knights. This dragon was clearly very dangerous. What if they were defeated by that monster? It would head for the castle and then.... She was too afraid to think about that. The wounds of the villagers kept playing in her head. Everybody in the castle was worried. And she missed the knights very much. Especially one of them... Would she ever see him again? It started to snow again.
"He'll be fine." her friend said.
"I certainly hope so..."
"You believe in him, don't you?"
"Of course I do! But did you see those wounds?"
"I know. I know."
She didn't need to explain to her friend. All they could do was wait and see.
She kept looking at the white landscape. Suddenly, one of the servants entered the room.
"The doctor wants to see you." he said.
She went to see him right away. Two hours ago, she had visited the wounded villagers and he had told her that everything was under control. Why did he want to see her now? He was talking to one of the patients when she found him.
"Is everything alright?" she asked.
"I have tried to find out more about this dragon." the doctor said. "I believe the castle is his next target."
The doctor sounded very calm. He had seen the wounds and he knew the knights weren't here. They were totally defendless! This was the end!
"We are dealing with a very powerful monster." the doctor said.
